Dr. Bismark Addai

Biography:

Dr. Bismark Addai has a PhD in Economics with a specialization in Finance from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. He also has a master’s degree in Management Science and Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting option – First Class Honours).

Dr. Addai is currently a Sessional Faculty member at University Canada West teaching Financial Management, Quantitative Reasoning and Analysis and Business Economics.

Expertise and Experience

Before joining UCW, Dr. Addai served in numerous teaching and research capacities including his role as a Postdoctoral research fellow at Changsha University of Science and Technology. He also has industry experience as a financial consultant.

Dr. Addai is widely published in many reputable journals including Journal of Multinational Financial Management, Journal of Applied Economics, Economics Change and Restructuring, Energy, Marine Policy, Resources Policy, Technology in Society, Cogent Economics and Finance, Journal of Industry, Competition & Trade, Aquaculture Economics & Management, and Environmental Science and Pollution Research.

He has many years of peer review experience, and he reviews for International Journal of Finance and Economics; Journal of Multinational Financial Management; Small Business Economics; Electronic Commerce Research and Applications; and European Management Review. He is a Consulting Review Editor for Editage, a Research Integrity Consultant for Wiley-Hindawi and a Guest Editor for an ongoing special issue in the Journal of Economic Policy Reform.

Dr. Addai’s areas of expertise include financial economics, financial markets, corporate finance, corporate governance, financial institutions, applied economics, sustainable finance, development finance, environmental and energy finance, and he is open to new areas.
